GH Township woman dogged about writing

Kelle Lynn • Jul 21, 2015 at 11:25 AM

Just five years later, the Grand Haven Township woman is an international author, writing coach, public speaker and owner of Splattered Ink Press.

“When the editor of Cats and Dogs Magazine asked me to write a monthly column about Sally, I couldn’t imagine that anyone would want to read about my little dog,” McDonald said.

Sally soon had her own fan club. The dog will even be in attendance during McDonald’s presentations at the West Michigan Women’s Expo in Grand Rapids on March 9-11.

McDonald’s love of writing goes back to childhood, according to her sister, Joyce.

“Tricia always wanted to be a writer and write a book,” Joyce said. “I remember her writing in her journal about what she had done all day — plus, she was always writing letters.”
