The first program in the series is “Bird Nests and Bluebirds” at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 17. This program will begin inside with a look at a variety of bird nests, followed by an outdoor hike to look for bluebirds.
“Sensing Spring” is set for 2 p.m. Saturday, March 24. Naturalist Karin Neils will lead this annual walk to look for early signs of spring. After the walk, everyone is invited to gather around the fireplace to warm up with a hot beverage.
A program on “Birding For Beginners” is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. Saturday, March 31. This program will begin with an indoor primer on birding followed by a bird hike. Bring binoculars (loaners available).
There are no fees for these walks and advance registration is not required. Walks are for adults and families, last about 90 minutes, and are canceled if it is raining.
