Resident to launch petition drive for SL village-township merger

Hatton, who moved from the township to the village several years ago, said she is frustrated paying taxes to both the village and township.

She said she'll discuss her grassroots movement during the public comment portion of tonight's meeting, scheduled for 7 at Barber School, 102 W. Exchange St.

Hatton said she'll need 306 signatures of registered voters who live in the village by May 15 to put a question on the Aug. 7 ballot.
