The final results and stories about the election will be published in Wednesday's Tribune.

Millage renewal proposals are on the ballots in Ferrysburg, the city of Grand Haven and Grand Haven Township. Grand Haven Township voters will also see proposals for a one-year millage to fund fire apparatus and equipment, and a renewal of a millage for the local senior citizen program. Robinson Township voters will see a 1-mill proposal for road maintenance.

The Republicans who will either face Democrat challengers or run opposed in the November general election will be decided today in various primaries.

Four Republicans, including Holland resident and former congressman Pete Hoekstra, are in the race to challenge U.S. Sen. Debbie Stabenow, D-Mich.

The state House 88th District is being vacated by Dave Agema. Two Republicans, Roger Victory and Amanda Van Essen, are running in today's GOP primary.

State Rep. Amanda Price, R-Park Township, is unopposed in today's primary as she seeks a second two-year term to represent the 89th District. She will be challenged again by Democrat Don Bergman of Park Township in November.

Three Republicans — Joe Bush, Mike Munch and Martha Urbin — are after the Ottawa County drain commissioner job.

Ottawa County Commissioner Philip Kuyers is being challenged by fellow Republican Kenneth David for the 9th District seat.

Two former area mayors, Roger Bergman and Jeff Stille, are after the 10th District seat, as well as Timothy O'Donnell of Spring Lake. The winner today will face Democrat Don Munski, also of Spring Lake, in November.

In Grand Haven Township, five Republicans are after four spots on the November ballot for trustee seats, and two GOP women — incumbent Sue Buitenhuis and challenger Simone Young — are after the clerk post. The winners today will be virtually elected as there is no opposition in the fall.

In Robinson Township, Supervisor Tracy Stille-Mulligan is being challenged in today's GOP primary by Kathryn Kuck.

And in Spring Lake Township, three incumbents and two challengers are after four trustee seats, with no opposition challenge in the fall.
