The fun this weekend (Nov. 2-4) includes a couple concerts (one is free), an indoor garage sale (a benefit) and a fundraiser for the local lighthouse preservation group. Beware: There might be some leftover candy at some of the events.

(1) Shakespeare and Snacks — 6-8 p.m. Saturday, in the market behind the Village Baker at 617 E. Savidge St. in Spring Lake. Spring Lake High School students will be reading scenes from "A Midsummer Night's Dream." The evening also includes dinner, pizza and beverages.

(2) Keep the Lights On — 6-8 p.m. Friday at C2C Gallery, 104 Washington Ave. in downtown Grand Haven. The gallery will celebrate its new location with a fundraiser for the Grand Haven Lighthouse Conservancy Group. Some purchases benefit the lighthouse group. Jon McDonald has donated a painting to be raffled off at the end of the evening. Live music by Susan Picking. Also stop by the Gallery Uptown between 5:30 and 8 p.m. Friday for its artists reception; free refreshments; and new exhibit by photographer Henry Ottens, painter Robert Michmerhuizen and artist Mark Ottens. Refreshments will be served.

(3) Oat Bran Boys — 7 p.m. Saturday at Mona Shores High School, 1121 Seminole Road in Norton Shores. Tickets are $12 for adults, and $8 for students and senior citizens. This annual concert benefits the Mona Shores High School Fiddlers program.

(4) Steve Hilger Jazz Quintet — 2:30-3:30 p.m. Sunday at Spring Lake District Library, 123 E. Exchange St. The quintet plays jazz standards with a contemporary flair. The concert is free.

(5) Indoor Garage Sale — 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Grand Haven Eagles, 20 N. Second St., Grand Haven. It's in the upstairs hall, which has an elevator. All proceeds will benefit local charities.

Bonus: It's "fall back" time. Daylight Savings Time ends at 2 a.m. Sunday! That means one extra hour of sleep.
