The Holland Sentinel reported an August 2013 closing date is set on the deal for the Presbyterian Camps property in Saugatuck.
The camp, which has cabins and platform tents, was founded in 1899. The Presbytery of Chicago announced in 2009 that it planned to sell the camp to help cover debts.
The buyer is David Barker, a Saugatuck-area developer who plans to use the land for 2-acre home sites.
If the deal doesn't work out, a nonprofit group wants to find a way to maintain the property as a camp. Another sale fell through in 2010.
