Two-dozen roads were washed out or remained closed following the flooding, which started a week ago. Abby Watkins, Newaygo County's director of emergency services, said it's not known how much road repairs will cost.
Water levels on the Muskegon River below the Croton Dam in Newaygo County crested at 11.1 feet on Friday, more than 2 feet over flood stage. Since then, water levels have mostly declined as other parts of West Michigan saw more flooding.
The county will host an informational meeting tonight at Newaygo High School, where flood cleanup kits will be given out.
