Clifford 'Guy' George Dalman

Clifford “Guy” George Dalman, age 70, of Spring Lake passed away Friday, September 15, 2017, at The Leila and Cyrus Poppen Hospice Residence.

He was born February 22, 1947, in Muskegon to Clifford Edward and Margaret (VanHaver) Dalman; and married Patricia Ann McFall on November 7, 1969, in Grand Haven.

Guy served his country in the Army, then went on to work as an engineer for over 30 years at Superior Metal Products, then retired from Shape Corporation. Guy enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling, golfing, gardening, camping, woodworking, carving and riding his bright yellow motorcycle. But most of all he loved to “master things” that he was learning to do.

He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Patricia Dalman of Spring Lake; three daughters: Amy Rogers of Grand Haven, Lisa (Brett) Slater of Grand Haven and Angie (Aaron Bisacky) Dalman of Spring Lake; five grandchildren: Raine and River Rogers, Emma, Ellie and Ashley Slater; four sisters: Diane (Joel) Schlukebir of Grand Haven, Dawn (J. Paul) King of Muskegon, Darlene (Ludwig) Schirm of Dallas, Texas, and Deborah Dalman of Florida; his brother, Wayne (Linda) Dalman of Spring Lake; four sisters-in-law: Sue (Randy) Koekkoek of Muskegon, Anne (Huck) Schaap of Chandler, Minn., Betty Dalman of Grand Haven, and Beth Smalligan of Spring Lake; brother-in-law, Michael (Mary Studt) McFall of Richmond, Va.; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Melvyn Dalman; father-in-law, Ted McFall; brother-in-law, Jeph McFall; and nephew, Eric Schaap.

The funeral service for Guy will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, September 21, 2017, at Spring Lake Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Daniel Anderson officiating. Friends may meet the family from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, September 20, at Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, The Spring Lake Chapel. Interment will be in Spring Lake Cemetery, with military honors by the Charles A. Conklin Post 28 Honor Guard.
