Monte Dale Kline, age 65, lost his brave battle with cancer early Thursday morning, September 7, 2017, in Lake Worth, Fla.

He was born January 19, 1952, in Grand Haven to Norm and Joyce (Brosseit) Kline.

Monte lived all over the country and traveled the world throughout his lifetime. He was a collector of antiques and art. Among his many interests were gardening, pottery, decorating, snorkeling, cars, all animals and photography.

He had several careers: art teacher, hairdresser, truck driver, police officer and car sales. Monte retired years ago from Mercedes Benz.

Monte is survived by his precious wife, Amparo Kline; his wonderful dog, Shelby; and their bird, Chi Chi.

He is survived by his father, Norman Kline; sisters, Michelle (Dave) Hecksel and Casey (Ryan) Soule; and brothers: Greg Kline (special friend Poala), Mike (Holly) Kline and Chris (Natalie) Kline; along with his mother-in-law, Luz Baltazar; sisters-in law: Luisa, Romy, Rowena and Jocelyn; and brothers-in law, Jerry and Jerome, all living in the Philippines; a cousin, Barrie Brosseit; Aunt Nancy Melcher; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Preceding Monte in death were his stepfather and mother, Frank and Joyce Labuda; stepbrothers, Frank Jr. and Tom Labuda; his father-in-law, Jesus Baltazar; sister-in-law, Leila; and several aunts and uncles.

As his wishes, there will be no service, but his ashes will be spread in the coral reef in his favorite area of the ocean.
