Today (Nov. 4) my wife and I were on our way to Baker College. We were northbound on U.S. 31 just past the drawbridge heading out of Grand Haven and a road crew was working in the left lane on the lamps in the median. A white car stopped suddenly in front of us because there was no warning to merge right. I had enough time to stop and not hit the white car in front of us, but there was a minivan that rear-ended us from behind because he "looked down real quick.“
This is the second time we've been rear-ended in six months. We were previously hit heading south on U.S. 31 in Holland. We were stopped at a red light for a turnaround first in the right lane and got nailed from behind by a woman in a Cadillac from Arkansas because she was "using her phone.”
People really need to pay attention! Please help the lovely citizens of West Michigan to focus on driving.
