Tribune Staff • Jul 21, 2015 at 10:52 AM

Grand Haven kept things close by winning the 1,600 relay and doing well in several of the field events.

The Buccaneer girls came as close to Rockford as the have in 15 years, according to coach John Tarr, suffering an 80-57 loss.

Megan Newhouse and Jordan Keefe had great outings for the Bucs. Newhouse won the 100 hurdles in 16.38 seconds, with teammate Alex Schurkamp in second place. Newhouse also won the 300 hurdles in 49.51 seconds, with Grace Kendra third.
