Paulsen, a junior, earned the win after pitching four solid innings. She struck out one, walked one and allowed one hit. Lee earned the save by pitching the final three innings. She also allowed just one hit and struck out two.

Offensively, Betsy Clendenon led the Trojans with a 3-for-4 performance, which included three doubles, an RBI and a run scored. Lindsey Helseon added two hits and an RBI, and Ashley Six went 2-for-4 with a double.

Spring Lake banged out 16 hits and 12 runs, but pitching and defense were the culprit in a 14-12 loss to Oakridge.

The Lakers committed five errors, issued nine walks and also hit a batter.

Rachael Adams tried to help her team keep pace as she banged out four hits, including two triples, and drove in a pair of runs. Freshman Ashley Keena, recently pulled up from the junior varsity team, had three hits, while Micanna Pelkey scored three runs and drove in three more.
