That percentage is actually down a bit from her sophomore season, when she was 88.2 percent from the line. According to coach Katie Kowalczyk-Fulmer, those are the two best free throw percentage seasons in the history of Grand Haven girls basketball.
Law was also deadly from 3-point range this winter as she hit 57-of-158 triple tries. That works out to 36.1 percent, which earned her honorable mention in the BCAM state standings. Kowalczyk-Fulmer said that Law’s 57 made 3-pointers was one of the highest totals of any individual in the state.
Law always gives credit for her tremendous shooting touch to her father, Dave Law. The two spend countless hours in the gym working on Law’s shot.
“Her success has much to do with her father,” Kowalczyk-Fulmer said. “He has helped her become the shooter she is.”
Dave Law suffered a brain stem stroke on Feb. 17, which nearly claimed his life. However, he’s made a tremendous recovery and is now back home with his family.
