According to coach George Bitner, Spring Lake now holds a 30-stroke lead over Ludington with four league jamborees remaining. That number is deceiving, however, because teams are allowed to toss out their two worst scores, which would bring the Orioles to within 11 strokes of the Lakers’ total.
David Bonter shot a 37 for Spring Lake. John Vanderlaan added a 39, and Henry McGannon shot a 40.
The Lakers play in the Tri-County and Grant jamborees on Friday at Whitefish Lake Golf Club.
