Wolters' pass came on a first-and-10 play with his team just 29 yards from the Whitehall end zone. The ball sailed over the head of Lakers' receiver Jonathan Mundt and appeared to be headed for fellow Laker Jeff Marod, but Whitehall defensive back Josh Kennebeck cut in front of Marod and picked off the pass.
Wolter finished with 49 rushing yards and also completed 10-of-22 passes for 166 yards, but was picked off three times by a very aggressive Whitehall secondary.
Junior Cody Berkobien had a strong showing for the Lakers as he rumbled for 70 yards and a pair of scores. He also totaled a team-high 12 tackles.
