Spring Lake junior Jaylen Adkins had a tremendous meet for the Lakers, as she swam a leg on the winning 200 medley and 200 freestyle relays, and then won both the 50 and 100 freestyle events.

Senior Ginny Cotterall was also on the 200 freestyle relay, and shined in individual distance events, winning the 200 and 500 freestyles.

Roxane Strobel also scored a pair of victories in the 200 individual medley and 100 butterfly, and the Gleason sisters — Lydia and Audrey, were 1-2 in the 100 breaststroke, while fellow Laker Emma Donnelly was third.

The Lakers’ top diving performance was turned in by Makayla Boyink, who placed third with a score of 167.75.

“That was one of her best scores of the season,” said coach Barb Brackett.

Paige Rubleske was fifth (155.60) and Shelby Much was sixth (139.80) for the Lakers, who are off until a home meet against Muskegon Catholic Central on Thursday.
