Grand Haven’s boys cross country team received the honor for the second straight year by the Michigan Interscholastic Track Coaches Association. The award was recently presented in Big Rapids.
To be eligible for the award, all seven varsity runners must qualify and compete at the MHSAA state finals in Brooklyn. The team must finish in the top 15 of all schools at the finals and have an average composite grade point average above 3.5.
The Bucs’ team, consisting of Alex Cramer, Ryan Duff, Brady Durant, Justin Pippel, Turner Sale, Dylan Tarr and Schalk Vanniekerk finished 12th overall at the state finals and had an average GPA of 3.7.
