Competing at Spectrum Lanes, the Bucs started strong by sweeping the Baker games against the Falcons and earning 10 points.

East Kentwood put a scare into the Bucs, however, by storming back and winning the first match play game to earn seven points. Grand Haven re-grouped and flourished in the second match game, knocking down 1,006 pins to the Falcons 899 to secure the 22-8 victory. Senior Nate Hix was on fire to close out the match, as he finished with a stellar score of 280.

Grand Haven is now 6-0 in the O-K Red and has claimed at least a share of the conference title.

Earning two points for the Bucs in match play games was Nick Laird, who rolled games of 178 and 201. John Morehouse picked up a point with his 224 effort in Game 1, while Justin White’s 206 in Game 2 also earned a point.

Grand Haven’s girls captured four points in Baker games, but lost out in total pins by just 11.

East Kentwood controlled the match play games, outscoring the Bucs 17-3 to earn the 23-7 win.

Scoring points for the Bucs were Claudia Melton, Marina Chavez, and Lindsey Bronold.
