Her third-quarter 3-pointer put Law at 1,000 career points. She becomes just the fourth player in Grand Haven history to reach the milestone, joining all-time leading scorer Emma Veach (1,294 points), Allison Miller (1,264), and Maggie Dwyer (1,184).
Law downplayed the accomplishment following her team’s key victory at East Kentwood.
“It’s exciting, but it’s more exciting to come here and beat East Kentwood,” she said.
Law totaled 12 points on Tuesday, including three 3-pointers, giving her 32 triples on the season.
“Alex has put so much time and effort into her game and that’s why she’s become the shooter she is,” said Grand Haven coach Katie Kowalczyk-Fulmer. “She’s put in so much time shooting at the (YMCA) with her dad (Dave).”
Law, the daughter of Dave and Lori Law, has signed to play Division 2 college basketball at the University of Findlay (Ohio).
