Ludington tied the game when quarterback Chad Large found Trevor Wahr for an 8-yard touchdown.

Gordon scored from 8 yards out later in the first quarter, and a missed extra point left the Trojans on top 13-7.

Fruitport built on its lead in the second quarter as Fehler handed the ball off to Knox, who did the rest, going 80 yards for the score. Boroff’s extra point made it 20-7 Trojans at the half.

Fruitport made it 27-7 in the third when Fehler hit Veihl for a 5-yard scoring pass.

In the fourth quarter, Large scored on a 13-yard run.

The Trojans finished with 251 rushing yards and held Ludington to only 49 yards on the ground.

The Orioles, on the strong arm of Large, racked up 188 passing yards, and actually dominated the time of possession, holding the ball for nearly 30 minutes to 18:04 for the Trojans.

Nathan Kriger led the Trojans’ defensive effort with 14 total tackles. Jacob Breese added 11 and Gordon made nine stops.

Mitchell Reyes intercepted Large twice, while Luc Kostamo had a sack for the Trojans.
