The teams split the four doubles matches, and the Orioles took three of the four singles flights to wrap up the victory.

Ryan Fedewa was the lone singles winner for the Lakers, scoring a 6-3, 7-5 win over Jake Perez.

Grand Haven’s varsity boys tennis team earned its second O-K Red Conference victory of the season on Wednesday, beating Hudsonville, 6-2.

The Bucs scored wins at No. 1 and 3 singles, with Korey Searle winning 6-2, 6-0 at the top spot and Varun Biddanda pulling out a tough 7-5, 7-6 (3) win at No. 3.

The Bucs’ Finn Heins and Jeff Stevens each suffered tough three-set losses at the other singles spots.

Grand Haven then proceeded to sweep the doubles matches, all in straight sets.
