Claire Borchers led the Bucs with a time of 19 minutes, 10 seconds, good for second place overall. Lindy Vallier and Roxy Glasser were next as they each turned in personal-best times of 19:38 and 19:44, respectively.
Freshman Malea Teerman broke into the 19-minute range for the first time with her effort of 19:59, while Hannah Kenny had a season-best time of 20:30.
In all, the Bucs took 10 of the top 15 places.
GH BOYS PLACE 4TH
The Buccaneers’ boys were also at Allendale, where they finished fourth. Grandville was the invitational champion.
The Bucs’ lineup featured a pair of freshman as Ashkii Wilson and Jordan Diephouse each ran personal-best times of 17:25 and 17:46, respectively.
The helped push the upperclassmen, led by Justin Pippel’s third-place overall finish of 16:28. Will Swain also ran well, coming across the line in 17:01. Nick Johnson finished in 17:26, while Turner Sale (17:31) and Sam Schurkamp (18:01) also ran well.
