The Trojans hammered Kenowa Hills, 4-0, in a game that was delayed for 30 minutes because of lightning.

“The entire team is playing beautiful soccer and we are having a lot of fun,” said Trojans’ coach Greg Kobylak, whose team is gunning for its first district title since 2008.

Colin Sparks opened the scoring for the Trojans with a goal off a penalty kick. Sparks then made it 2-0 on a goal off a corner kick. Zach Gilson then added a pair of goals, assisted by Dalton Mullenix and Taylor McLaughlin.

Loghan Stong made four saves for the Trojans, who are now 13-7-2.

“We are excited and confident heading into our next game,” Kobylak said. “It should be another classic.”

The Lakers have won the first two meetings between the two teams this year, although both games were fairly close.
