Bucs' JV boys basketball team knocks off Rockford

Junior Varsity

Grand Haven knocked off Rockford on Wednesday, 49-35. Noah Lein scored 25 points to go with nine rebounds and four assists for the Bucs, who are 9-6 overall and scored their first league win in six tries. Adam Abraham scored seven points to go with five rebounds, while Nic Holwerda had seven points and seven boards.

WMC dropped a 51-40 decision to Holland Christian on Tuesday. James Godwin led the way with 15 points followed by Devin Eekhoff with 11.


Grand Haven fell to Rockford, 59-41. Zach Sinke had 14 points for the Bucs (8-7). Jason Long added seven points and eight rebounds, while Conner Jettner had five assists and three steals.

WMC lost to Holland Christian, 45-43. Jordan Rhodes tossed in 13 points followed by Chris Hain with 11, Demonta Bartee eight and William Dukes with six.


Junior Varsity

Spring Lake scored a 35-11 win over Orchard View on Wednesday. Remi French had 13 points and nine rebounds to lead the Lakers (12-4, 7-2 Lakes Eight). Randi Rice had seven points, and Amber Taylor grabbed seven rebounds.

Fruitport edged Orchard View on Tuesday, 25-18. The Trojans (5-11) received 10 points and seven rebounds from Alyssa Veihl, while Delaney Bennett added nine points and six boards. Kara Knoll chipped in with six points.
