Yet another night of prep sports was wiped out on Tuesday due to continued wild winter weather.

Varsity basketball games at Grand Haven, Spring Lake and Fruitport were all postponed or cancelled on Tuesday night, along with several other athletic events.

At Grand Haven, the Buccaneers’ girls basketball game at West Ottawa and the boys’ contest at home against the Panthers were both postponed. Those games will be made up tonight. The freshman games will tip off at 4 p.m., followed by the JV contests at 5:30 and the varsity games at 7.

Spring Lake’s boys basketball team was scheduled to play at Oakridge. That game has been pushed back to tonight, while the Lakers’ girls basketball contest against Fremont will be made up on Thursday night. That contest will take place at Spring Lake High School.

Fruitport’s freshman basketball game at Newaygo was cancelled, as were the JV and varsity boys basketball games against Montague. With only two weeks left in the season, those games will not be made up.

Tonight’s varsity girls basketball contest between Fruitport and Holland has been cancelled so that the Trojans can instead make up a league game.

Western Michigan Christian High School did not have a varsity athletic events scheduled on Tuesday.
