Spring Lake’s varsity golf team scored a convincing win over Coopersville on Monday.
The Lakers shot a 157, well ahead of the Broncos’ 183.
Bricker Reed shot a 38 for Spring Lake. Harrison Swanson added a 39, Ben Kramer a 40, and Connor Love a 40.
Henry McGannon and Brendan Peel each shot a 43.
The Lakers head to Fremont today for the final league jamboree of the season. Spring Lake currently sits in first place in the conference standings.
Spring Lake’s junior varsity team competed at the Shelby Invitational on Monday and took second with a 395. Ryan Johnson shot an 88, good for third medalist, while George Nietering added a 94. Tanner Swanson shot a 103, and C.J. Anastor had a 110.
On Tuesday, the Lakers’ JV team was at Kenowa Hills and placed third with a team score of 181. Anastor had his career-low score of 42, including his first birdie. Johnson added a 43, while Nietering shot a 56 and Tommy McKeough and Patrick Mahoney each shot season-best rounds of 50.
