Ashlyn Hall’s clutch single in the bottom of the sixth inning gave the NOYSA All-Stars a walk-off win over Indiana in the Little League regional tournament on Tuesday.

NOYSA looked to have the game in hand with a 4-2 lead entering the top of the sixth inning.

Indiana rallied, however, scoring a pair of runs to deadlock the score at 4-4. The Hoosier State champions had runners on second and third with no outs, but NOYSA’s Madelyn Nelson slammed the door with a strikeout to end the inning.

In the bottom of the sixth, Molly Poole singled for the NOYSA All-Stars. Jenna Core followed with a bunt single, and pitch runner Kelly Olthof reached third base on the play.

Hall then drilled a line drive over the head of the second baseman to win the game for the NOYSA All-Stars.

With the victory, NOYSA is now 3-0 with one game remaining in pool play. That game will be against Appleton Einstein (Wisc.) tonight at 7.

With a win, and most likely even with a loss, NOYSA will advance to Thursday’s regional semifinal contest at 11 a.m.
