Jason Duram, a longtime assistant football coach for the Grand Haven football program, will take over as the Buccaneers' interim head coach this fall.

"We are pleased to have someone of Jason's caliber to head up our football program, and feel he is someone who has great potential to lead us well into the future," said Grand Haven High School Principal Tracy Wilson.

Duram has served as an assistant for the past 11 years, most recently as the defensive coordinator, and has been credited for leading outstanding defenses during that time.

"We feel this will be a seamless transition for our athletes and are excited for the future of Buccaneer football," Wilson said.

Duram takes over for Mike Farley, who served as the Buccaneers' head varsity football coach the past eight seasons. Farley recently announced his resignation to take over as offensive coordinator at South Effingham High School in Georgia.
