The 200-yard medley relay team of Joey Wachter, Will Brown, Kevin Losee and Cam Peel took top honors with a time of 1:39.39 in the opening event of the meet. The time was less than a second off of the Spring Lake Aquatic Center record of 1:38.58 set on Dec. 12, 2017, by the same crew.
Noah Locascio took a commanding win in the 1-meter diving event with a score of 242.2 points, more than 100 points of his second-place competitor from Holland Christian.
In the 200 freestyle relay, Losee, Wachter, Peel and Drew Fogel took the top spot with a time of 1:29.38. Their time was .2 seconds off of the pool record set last January by the same group.
The Laker relay teams closed out the match with a win in the 400 freestyle event. The team of Brown, Fogel, Sam Stella and Garrett Henning touched the wall at 3:41.47 to take the fourth event win of the night for Spring Lake.
The team will look to bounce back with a strong performance Saturday as they host their own invitational meet at 9 a.m.
