The shutoff will allow crews to tie into the water main in conjunction with the Centertown improvement project.

The water will be shut off at the following addresses from 8-11 a.m.: 633 Washington, the entire first block and 100 block of North Seventh, and the entire 700 blocks of Fulton and Columbus, including the Ottawa Area Center school at 714 Columbus Ave.

The water will be shut off at the following addresses between 9 a.m. and noon: 700 Washington, 633 Franklin, the entire 100 block of South Seventh, and the entire 600 and 700 blocks of Franklin.

Water service will be restored upon completion of these connections. Once it is turned back on, there may be a slight discoloration of the water, city officials say. You should run water in the tub or sink to clear it.
