10. Jupitor? Is that how it got pulled from the AP wire?

11. Beer Mile World Championships Set For This Fall. OK Lani, I waited until Friday to post this. Note the women's record is 6:42 so now you've got something to shoot for. I love Nick Symmond's quote "By the fall, I'll be in both peak running and drinking condition". My hero.

The Drive! The determination! The ambition! Impressive...

Let's start training asap. All bets are on you beating the tar out of ole Nick. As for me, think it would be possible to train with my new used kayak? I'm all into it these days. I could cross the channel - chug - cross in the opposite direction - chug, repeat.

Excuse me - I'm feeling a little woozy all of a sudden....

Harry Kovaire

I find it best to maintain peak drinking condition year-round.

13. The ICE Release of 36,000 criminal illegal aliens onto the streets of America was enabled by Hillary Clinton ignoring the law as Secretary of State (Does anyone in the Obama regime OBEY the law?) http://www.powerlineblog.com/arc...

14. Obama to loosen lending standards to boost home ownership. What could go wrong? http://www.aei-ideas.org/2014/05...

#14 - NOW THAT'S A GOOD IDEA!!! Why didn't we ever try that before?

Lanivan

14. Yes - that's right. Let's blame the nice widow down the street who would like to get a loan to downsize to a condo, for the Great Recession and it's aftermath.

Let's embrace reality for a moment. In 2009, the total mortgage debt in the US stood at around $11 Trillion.

In 2009, the total credit default swap market sold by Wall Street hovered around $50 Trillion. You know about CDS, correct? The investment vehicle, created in the 1990's, that generated financial engineering profits of biblical proportions - by 2009, it had grown 20x it's size back in 2000.

Oh-oh! This was back before Obama's time! Daggoneit!

#20. Congressional Republicans have taken one small step towards redemption.

Senate Confirms First-Ever Native American Woman As Federal Judge

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/20...

"The Senate quietly made history on Wednesday night when it confirmed Diane Humetewa as a federal judge -- the first Native American woman to ever hold such a post.

Humetewa was confirmed 96-0 to serve on the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona. She is a former U.S. attorney in Arizona and a member of the Hopi tribe. She is now the first active member of a Native American tribe to serve on the federal bench and only the third Native American in history to do so."

Comment from a poster (This is what America is about): "A Native American female nominated by a Democrat who is a mixed race son of a white female and a Kenyon father is confirmed by a Senate led by a Democratic white male Mormon senior citizen."

Harry Kovaire

The commentator should have said "This is what America has become: a nation where we are judged by the color of our skin, our genitalia, sexual proclivities, national origin, political affiliation, and religion; not by the content of our character."

Exhibit A - Why it's so unrewarding and difficult to find something good to say about Congressional Republicans.

I believe it is, in fact, Obama and the Senate Democrats who sought redemption by appointing/voting for Judge Humetawa. After all, George Bush named her the first female Native American U.S. attorney in history,
Read more at http://indiancountrytodaymediane...

The appointment was viewed with great pride by the Native American community, but it was short lived as Ms. Humetawa was fired by President Obama when he was first elected. Obama replaced her with a MAN, a political crony of former Gov. Janet Napolitano, who served as Obama’s homeland security chief.

" When asked why Obama would replace a history-making Native American tribal justice official – when the president himself has noted the need for more American Indians in top political positions – White House officials noted that it is not unusual for presidents to want to fill political appointee positions with allies." http://indiancountrytodaymediane...

Four years after firing her, Obama decided to nominate her for a judgeship - Two of Humetewa’s main champions have been Sens. John McCain and Jeff Flake, both Republicans from Arizona. http://indiancountrytodaymediane...

This history is why it's so hard to say anything nice about Obama and his war on women.

Lanivan

And so you have proved my point that it is next to impossible to find a decent laudatory example of Republican politicians seeking redemption. You are telling me that Senate Republicans voted for Obama's nominee, Judge Humetewa, not because she is qualified, but so they can belittle the nomination, Ms. Humetewa, and Obama by saying Obama originally fired her.

Exasperation abounds!

I have now scrapped that little project and will return to my roots, ignoring the criticisms that I don't honor Republicans enough. Perhaps this will make you happy.....Police chief calls President Obama the N-word. "A New Hampshire police commissioner is refusing to apologize for referring to President Barack Obama by a racial slur, despite calls for his resignation, according to reports. “I believe I did use the ‘N’ word in reference to the current occupant of the Whitehouse (sic),” Copeland wrote in his email. “For this, I do not apologize — he meets and exceeds my criteria for such.”

But, in your favor, all is forgiven for the moment as the Layer Cake is so very, very nice and layery. Love it! Cacen 'n glws! (no - this isn't typing under the influence).

Vladtheimp

No, I am telling you that the talents of Judge Humetewa were recognized by George Bush, who made her the first female Native American U.S. Attorney, who excelled at her job and brought needed knowledge of Tribal Laws until she was sacked by Obama because she was appointed by a Republican; that Obama waited 4 years after spit-canning her until he decided to nominate her as a judge, and that her two big supporters from her home state are Republicans. I also noted that Obama replaced her with a white male toady of Big Sis Napolitano (of man-caused disaster infamy when describing terrorism).

I'm pleased you enjoy Layer Cake, which has the additional advantage of being reasonably priced - the Welsh was untranslatable, so I trust that it isn't a slam.

Lanivan

Right. Just as I said.

A slam? Absolutely not. I'm serious - I'm really enjoying this lovely stuff, and would never slam the purveyor of such an affordable concoction.

"Nice Cake"!

Content warning. Strong language and ample stupidity.

WTFO? I thought the whole point of anarchism was the creation of chaos. . . .
