Duncan is retiring from the ministry after 28 years, including 11 years as senior pastor at the Church of the Dunes. He also served congregations in Fremont, Muskegon and the rural Ada/Lowell area during his ministry.

Duncan and his wife, Mary, have three adult children. They will be relocating to Kalamazoo, where Mary is a partner in an architectural firm.

“It has been a privilege serving such an active, caring church that strives for a thoughtful and warm approach to living the Christian life,” Duncan said.

Duncan’s successor at the Church of the Dunes will be the Rev. Dr. Glenn Wagner, currently the pastor at Holt UMC. Wagner’s first service will be Sunday, July 6.

A congregational potluck will follow the June 1 service.
