On Monday, July 14, local traffic will experience some delays as the contractor places a base course of asphalt and patch around manholes on Griffin. Drivers will want to allow extra time if they must leave or enter the construction zone on Monday. The work is scheduled to begin at 8 a.m.

All traffic will be prohibited in the construction zone on Wednesday, July 16. Beginning at 8 a.m., the work crew will place the top course of asphalt on Griffin from Waverly to Robbins Road. The construction zone will be closed to all traffic until the asphalt has cooled and is deemed suitable for vehicular traffic.

City officials said residents should park on nearby side streets if they must leave or enter the construction zone on Wednesday.
