Road closures due to railroad grade crossing work

The Ottawa County Road Commission has been notified that CSX Railroad is scheduled to reconstruct its railroad grade crossings at the following locations:

— 144th Avenue and Bagley Street, west of U.S. 31 in Olive Township;

— Croswell Street west of U.S. 31 in Port Sheldon Township.

The above locations will be completely closed off to traffic at the crossings starting Friday, July 25. They are expected to each be closed for up to six days.  

Signed detours will be provided for each crossing.

The 144th/Bagley Street detour will follow U.S. 31 south to Tyler Street, then west to West Olive Road and north to 144th Avenue. The Croswell Street detour will follow 152nd Avenue north to Taylor Street, then east to U.S. 31 and south back to Croswell.
