Faith Circle donates to mission

Where's the beef? That was the question recently at St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Grand Haven.

Members of St. Paul's Faith Circle learned that Muskegon Rescue Mission’s food donations often did not include sufficient quantities of beef. Faith Circle members took it upon themselves to find the beef.

On July 13, the St. Paul’s congregation was invited to a potluck. The idea was to bring a dish to pass and fresh beef for the mission. The response was wonderful and 45 pounds of beef was donated, along with $107 in cash to purchase more.

Faith Circle members were able to deliver 90 pounds of beef to the Muskegon Rescue Mission the following day. Also delivered was some clothing, toiletries and 14 quilts to the mission. The quilts were made by members of St. Paul's congregation.
