Gee - this is enlightening. FYI, we can all go directly onto dailymail.com and get this drivel just as easily as you. But don't hold back - you don't want to forget anything of urgent importance.

By the way, I read on DailyKos that Rush Limbaugh just lost a bunch more sponsors, as well as a total of 11 radio stations. The guy's falling like a rock. (Due to Obama's weakness & failed leadership).

Good comedy. Slam someone for reading Dailymail, then cite dailykos.

It is, indeed, a shame that one must rely on foreign publications like the Daily Mail to get any accurate information on the environment since the Main Stream Media refuses to publish anything that calls into question the religion of Al Gore and the radical environmentalists (but I repeat myself).

Relying on the liberal press means we don't get news like the increase in the Arctic ice cap, or the record setting ice in Antarctica, or the fact that kids graduating from high school this year never experienced global warming in their lifetime.

As far as Rush Limbaugh's precipitous drop, I refer you to the actual statistics below, and the fact that his "drop" matches the entire audience of a liberal talk host like Skeletor. That's like seeing the 1927 Yankees drop a few games and concluding that their season was over. Nice try at spreading disinformation.

Is the information from the Daily Mail re: Arctic ice caps accurate? Does it place this current information within a historical context? Does it show cause and effect? Does it quote from a variety of climatologists offering scientifically-based explanations? (I did scan over your link but have been too busy picking Box Car Willies to go further)

If not, and, really, even if it does, it alone can not be construed to show that climate change and global warming are hoaxes perpetrated on the world by one man, Al Gore, in opposition of the worlds' bulk of heavily-educated climatologists. However, if your mind is made up that it is, then this article makes a very nice smoking gun.

Surely you are not equating Rush Limbaugh with legitimate news sources. His sole value is to entertain and foment hate. His target audience is shrinking - for a variety of reasons - and sponsors and stations are dropping him for those reasons. And the facts are indeed showing an exodus of sponsors/stations. He is simply not pulling in the growth markets. And because of his baseless, shameless, pandering of red meat to an audience that is both malnourished and gluttonous for as many scraps as they can cram into their mouths, such as:

* During Discussion Of Rape Culture, Limbaugh Lashes Out At "Feminazis": "The Reality Is That Boys Chase Girls"

* Rush Limbaugh Invokes Benghazi To Attack Obama Administration Over Ferguson Response

* Limbaugh Suggests "Obama Might Be Bombing Iraq To Distract Us From His Numerous Problems"

* Rush Claims Blacks Opposed To Immigration Because They Have "First Dibs" On Democrats' Money

* Limbaugh Implies Immigration Influx Is An Orchestrated Plan "To Wrest Control Of This Country" From White Majority

* Limbaugh Wonders If Obama Is Bringing American Ebola Patients Back To US For Political Gain.

That's a representative sample from just the last 2-3 weeks. No wonder the far right-wing (his audience) is so conflicted, damaged, compromised, fearful, and confused.

1. Since you obviously didn't bother to even look at the link, like Obama doesn't bother to review his daily military briefings, the following sources are quoted in the article: (a) the daily satellite readings issued by the US National Snow and Ice Data Center, which is co-funded by Nasa; (b) the Danish Meteorological Institute; and (c) the University of Illinois’s Cryosphere project.

2. Since you obviously don't listen to Rush Limbaugh, it would be helpful if you gave us the source for your list of so-called red meat. I notice that you ignored the actual facts about the size of his audience - your disinformation campaign can't deal with actual facts.

Lanivan

1. As I said, I scanned the article. I then quickly googled the topic to get additional information. Very little came up. I will try again later when I have more time for such things. But I stand by my comment - this data, if accurate and not biased - will change neither your nor my mind, nor the scientific community, about climate change. As I've said for umpteen times, climate change forecasts are not based on one or two weather episodes in one or two regions, but on global data and statistics over time. If it's any consolation, I truly wish climate change were just one big hoax, perpetrated by Al Gore and a small cadre of misinformed liberal scientists. The alternative is not a pleasant one.

2. I have listened to Rush Limbaugh indirectly a few times. The source is Media Matters. I did NOT ignore the actual facts about the size of his audience. It may be large, but it is shrinking nonetheless, his sponsors are quitting, and stations are dropping his program.

Rather than taking the easy way out and slamming me for my "disinformation campaign", please provide proof that the above is disinformation.

Vladtheimp

Media Matters whole stock in trade is the distortion of things conservatives in the media say - it is how they fundraise. You can rely on them at your peril.

Lanivan

By the way, I'd like to mention that I've also been trying to get through your link of a few weeks ago, which I printed out - Signing Statements: Constitutional and Practical Limits, Wm & Mary Bill of Rights Journal - all 27 pages of fine print. It's been slow going. This has also taken some of my time, so get off my case.

Thanks again.

Tri-cities realist

So, exactly how much time is required to get an accurate picture of climate change?

Lanivan

I'll have to check with God and get back to you.

dyankee

Lan- This is why I don't heed to your demands to post links to support what I already know is true simply, because you use the opportunity to slam the source instead of the facts or debate the issue. I don't care(nor should you) if the source is Al Jazeera, if, its true then, whom gives a rip where the news comes from?

Are you saying my post is inaccurate, misleading, or false? Please step forward and explain...if you dare however, refrain from using the words: "rich", "wealthy", "Koch", "big", "Bush" or "Halliburton"

Lanivan

I will choose to answer your question, even though you never bothered to answer one of mine from last week, made sincerely and with interest. In a small way, you make a point. I apologize for seeming to slam you for links, when I have, in the past, teased you for your absence of linkage.

I wasn't so much criticizing your sources, as much as the repetitiousness of them, and your scurilliousness in blaming Obama's alleged weakness and ineptness for every problem in the world.

The Middle East is a vast region, with over 350 million people, many areas with centuries of hostilities, warring tribes, and violence and a "victor and vanquished" inbred mindset. It is currently in the midst of many various civil wars. As arduous and demanding a task as establishing any strategy is, it's especially difficult in an area of the world where the context is constantly shifting.

Many of the civil wars and violent unrest in the region can be directly attributed to the Bush/Cheney invasion of Iraq. It was a disastrous "strategy" that created a debacle of biblical proportions. It was malevolently feckless and ineffective, and will affect the US negatively for many, many years. Do not attempt to gloss over or push it under the rug. It will not go away.

By contrast, Obama's approach is infinitely more thoughtful, deliberate, and intelligent. The Middle East paradigm is so byzantine, so complex, so non-Western, and so filled with proverbial land mines, no other approach can ever be successful.

Republicans, having pushed the unfunded Iraq War, are now calling for more war, and are belittling and blaming Obama for the problems that plague the region. This is absolutely the lowest, most vile Republican action, thus far. After building up the Federal Debt, and then blocking the Veterans Bill, crafted to meet the needs of the thousands of returning vets, because "we can't afford it" - and then NOW calling for more war in the region, is shameless, self-serving, and despicable.

Obama should act only when it clearly serves our goals, only with a coalition of countries, including Middle Eastern allies, and with a clear strategy based on careful analysis and an organized plan of attack.

I have sadly (and with some bitterness) reconciled myself to the fact that I will not be refraining from using the words "rich", "wealthy", "Koch", "big", "Bush" or "Halliburton" for a very long time. I suggest you do not hold your breath.

Tri-cities realist

I would have bet the farm that she couldn't refrain, but she beat me to it.

Lanivan

I try to be polite and make an attempt to answer a question, unlike some.
