#1. OBAMA INCOHERENCY

A. Obama - I have no strategy for dealing with ISIS 8/28/2014

B. Obama - "Our objective is clear and that is to degrade and destroy ISIL so it is no longer a threat. 9/3/2014

C. Obama - “Our objective is to make sure they aren’t an ongoing threat to the region,” 9/3/ 2014

D. Obama - "“We know that if we are joined by the international community, we can continue to shrink ISIL’s sphere of influence, its effectiveness, its military capability to the point where it is a manageable problem.” 9/3/2014

Is his new found strategy to kill ISIS or manage them like the Supervisor at a McDonald's?

And lets not forget an Obama spokesperson (not Lanivan) was caught lying about when Obama called ISIS the JV - Obama administration lying, what a shocker! http://www.washingtonpost.com/bl...

#4. Time for Holder to throw red meat to Obama's biggest supporters to encourage turnout for the midterm elections - can they be more obvious?

11. One day after the Islamic State in Iraq and al Sham (ISIS) released a video showing the brutal beheading of American journalist Steven Sotloff–the second American journalist ISIS has decapitated on video–Secretary of State John Kerry gave a speech saying that Islam is a “peaceful religion based on the dignity of all human beings,” and that ISIS is not “the real face of Islam.”

11.) You're got a lot of nerve insinuating Obama is incoherent. It's the Republicans who have lost all trace of any compos mentis. Allow me to spell it out:

---> Republicans began two wars, which were ineptly prosecuted, and were largely responsible for destabilizing the Middle East.

---> Republicans saddled the next administration - Obama - with the wars' legacy and a ruined economy.

---> Republicans refused to govern by throwing one temper tantrum after another for 6 years, letting the country flounder unnecessarily rather than do the job they are getting paid to do - govern.

---> Now the next terrorist group to demonize, since Obama has essentially decimated al Qaeda and killed it's leader, Obama bin Laden, is the Syrian-based ISIS. Just last year Republicans were demanding Obama send arms to these rebels to fight Assad. Now they are demanding Obama go to war killing the very rebels they previously wanted to support. Got that?

You should be thanking your lucky stars we have a president who is thoughtfully building an international coalition, many who have far more skin in the game than the US.

As for the Muslims and killing, it was the US that preemptively invaded Iraq, bombing the country into near-oblivion, killing, wounding, and displacing hundreds of thousands of Iraqi, and left the country a smoldering pile of rubble and uncompleted projects.

Love the arrows, Lani. Combine that with some of your patented symbol-letter replacement profanities and you'll really be able to drive your point home.

Lanivan

Thanks for the ^^^^ thumbs up! I'll have to take your advice, and start using more cu55 w0rds to show I mean busin3ss!

.11 So long as there are Muslims and Christians or Jews there will be conflict. Islam is a warriors religeon written by men with a thirst for violence, blood, domination and vengeance. No words are going to have any effect especially anything that Boob Kerry has to say will stop the momentum until one of them is gone...I have bad news for those who are against Israel...

Lanivan

"Islam is a warriors religeon written by men with a thirst for violence, blood, domination and vengeance."

Right. What's your excuse for the years of bloody violence, with thousands killed, in Northern Ireland in the name of Protestantism and Catholicism?

Vladtheimp

Right. Do you really want to make a case for the moral equivalency between Protestantism, Catholicism, and ISIS, Al Qaeda, Hamas, Boko Haram etc.? REALLY? I thought you were better than that, to quote Hillary.

Lanivan

A bomb is a bomb, a machete is a machete, and a bullet is a bullet. They have been used on innocent women and children, in the name of God, by Christian and Islamic men over the centuries with vengeance and a thirst for blood in their hearts. There are differences in the extreme nature of their killing, the degree of violence and hate may vary, but God is always in the center of it. Nearly every war has a religious component to it's justification.

ISIS used the same water-boarding technique to torture James Foley as Dick Cheney promoted and justified using on Iraqis. What you might want to say is, "I thought Dick Cheney should have been better than that".

Tri-cities realist

The difference is that Christians have changed, but the Muslims have not. End of story.

Lanivan

How can you possibly say that after living through the terribly violent Iraq War, where the US bombed the crap out of the country, ostensibly as an action of a Christian country? And the Bush administration allowed water-boarding as a form of torture, just as ISIS allegedly used on James Foley?

As I said, the degree of hate varies among nations and religions, but it is there nonetheless.

Tri-cities realist

I was referring to Northern Ireland. But since you brought up Iraq: I don't recall that we invaded Iraq in the name of God, or Jesus Christ.

And I thought we aren't a Christian nation. Which is it?

And I don't recall our soldiers beheading anyone, and capturing it on video as a form of propaganda. Did I miss something?

If you are equating our actions in Iraq and Afghanistan, to the actions of ISIS, I'm afraid you are a lost cause.

If you have the stomach for it, watch the video, and then tell me whether you still think we as a country are as barbaric as ISIS. But be warned, watching it is not for the faint of heart, and may actually change your thoughts. And then you'll know why I don't sleep so well.
