Annual Bunny Train begins hopping today

The Coopersville & Marne Railway begins its 2011 season today with the Bunny Train. This will be the ninth year for this family-friendly event and the 22nd season of providing vintage train rides. It will run through April 23. On board the Bunny Train are Wacky Duck, Lucky Lamb and the Easter Bunny. The funny cast will sing, dance and tell jokes in each passenger car during the 90-minute ride. All kids pick a free toy from the Easter baskets.

The decorated train departs from the station in historic downtown Coopersville on Saturdays at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. today and April 9; at 11 a.m., 1 and 3 p.m. April 16 and 23; and on Sundays at 1 and 3 p.m. April 3, 10 and 17.

Fares are $14.50 for adults, $13.50 for senior citizens and $11.50 for kids ages 2-12. Children under age 2 are free.
