Officers from the Grand Haven Department of Public Safety will be conducting training exercises through 5 p.m. today in the 700 block of Washington Avenue, said Lt. Renee Freeman.
The annual training is taking place at 734 Washington Ave., a home that is slated for demolition, Freeman said. It began at 9 a.m.
Eighth Street between Washington and Franklin avenues will be closed during that time, she said.
Officers will be participating in search and rescue, basement rescue, floor and wall breaching, window bailout, and ventilation exercises, she said.
