Pianist Rob Auler to perform Saturday at Hope

Pianist Rob Auler will perform at the Dimnent Memorial Chapel on the Hope College campus at 7:30 p.m. Saturday. The public is invited and admission is free. The program will include "Variations Serieuses, Op. 54,' by Felix Mendelsshon; "Spiral for Solo Piano' and "Shards for Solo Piano,' by Jonathan Pieslak; "Upstate: A Slow Drag,' by Carter Pann; "Turning for Solo Piano,' by Derek Bermel; and "Mephisto Waltz, No. 1,' by Franz Liszt.

Auler is a piano professor at SUNY Oswego, and an award-winning American concert pianist who maintains a national and international performing career. He has won numerous competitions, including the Society of American Musicians First Prize.
