BLP official: Falcon cam should be back online soon

It could be called a case of bad timing. Just when web surfers might have expected to see the local peregrine falcons sitting on some eggs, the Grand Haven Board of Light & Power's web cam has gone offline. Web surfers hoping to catch a glimpse of the falcons who nest on a platform on the power plant's smokestack on Harbor Island will have to wait until the camera is brought back online.

BLP staff are working to fix a faulty power supply for the camera, said Renee Molyneux, the municipal utility’s administrative services coordinator. Along with an upgrade to the web cam computer’s graphics card, the repairs should be finished in less than a week, she said.
