Training planned Thursday at wastewater plant

Members of the Ottawa County Hazardous Materials Team will work with employees from the Grand Haven Wastewater Treatment Plant on a mock situation Thursday evening at the plant, 1525 Washington Ave. Grand Haven Department of Public Safety officers and North Ottawa Community Hospital paramedics will also be participating in the training session. Plant Supervisor John Stuparits said the group will likely simulate some kind of leak from one of the 1-ton sulfur dioxide containers.
