The celebration will kick off Friday night at the Elks Lodge, 15 S. Third St., with the Earth Rock Concert — said Patti Baldus, a member of Lakeshore Earth Day Committee. From 7-10 p.m., four acoustic performers, three bands and some poets will perform in an event intended to get young people energized for the national Earth Day (April 22), Baldus said.
On Saturday, the day begins at 10:30 a.m. with a yoga class at the Grand Haven Community Center, 421 Columbus Ave. The class lasts an hour and will be taught by Barb Carlson of Lakeshore Yoga Center.
An Earth Day march will being at noon Saturday. The fair runs from 1-4 p.m.
