Loutit Library to offer director job to John Martin

Grand Haven native John Martin will be offered the recently vacated Loutit District Library director job once the paperwork is approved by the library board's attorneys. The decision was made in a special meeting held tonight after the most recent library director resigned just a week into the job. Cotner said he called Martin Monday night to tell him about the unexpected opening and to see if he was still interested in the position.

“He said ‘I am very interested,’” Cotner emphasized.   Martin was one of the three finalists interviewed for the top job at the Grand Haven library earlier this year. The other finalist was Wisconsin resident Rose Frost.   Read the full story in Wednesday's Tribune.
