Lakeshore’s DI team takes seventh in state tournament

Lakeshore Middle School's Destination ImagiNation team placed seventh out of 17 teams in its category at the state tournament, held April 16 at Holt High School. "Potion Producers' competed in the middle school level of "Triple Take Road Show,' taking fifth place in the Central Challenge portion. "They couldn't have done any better,' Team Manager Susie Conover said. "They represented our district with dignity and grace.'

Destination ImagiNation is an academic creativity competition that challenges youth worldwide to think on their feet, improvise, and demonstrate leadership and teamwork skills.

First- and second-place state winners advance to the Global Finals, May 25–28 at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. West Michigan teams making the trip will be elementary schools from Ravenna and Zeeland, middle schools from Ravenna and North Muskegon, and Mona Shores and Reeths-Puffer high schools.
