Community Good Friday Service at 1st Reformed Church

First Reformed Church in Grand Haven will host a Community Good Friday Service. "The Colors of Faith' service will be held during Friday's lunch hour, from 12:15-1:15 p.m. It will consist of four 15-minute service segments. Each segment will focus on one of four colors of our faith journey: "Black (Our Sin),' "Red (Jesus' Blood),' "White (Purity)' and "Gold (Gold Streets of Heaven)' - and will include a meditation, special music, and hymn or song.

The community pastors who will be a part of the service are the Rev. Drew Sweetman from Spring Lake Christian Reformed Church, Kurt VanNoord from the Christian Reformed Conference Grounds, Donna Rick from Spring Lake Presbyterian Church and the Rev. John Kenny from First Reformed Church.

The special music will be provided by Cheri Bultje, vocalist from Spring Lake Wesleyan Church; Jan Stern, pianist from First Reformed Church; and Dana Gretzinger, soloist from Hope Reformed Church. James Slater will be the organist for the service.

The church is located on the corner of Third and Washington streets in downtown Grand Haven and is handicap-accessible at the east entrance. For more information, call the church at 842-6600.
