Dan Bylsma to host events to be auctioned for GHCS

Two events hosted by Pittsburgh Penguins coach Dan Bylsma, a graduate of Grand Haven Christian School and Western Michigan Christian High School, will be on the auction block Saturday, April 30. Doors for the "Flashback to the ‘50s Auction' will open at 5 p.m., with dinner and registration, at Grand Haven Christian School. All bid boards, Chinese auction, class baskets, teacher boxes and "Hot Lunch Hooky' open at 5:30 p.m. The verbal auction will be held from 7-8:30 p.m. The public is invited.

The auction will include more than 200 items. One item to be auctioned is Bylsma hosting four people at a Penguins game next season, and also at a practice session and morning shoot-around. Two nights lodging in Pittsburgh are also included.

The second item will be four people hosted by Bylsma aboard a charter fishing boat out of Grand Haven this summer for four hours. This is also being donated by Kendall and Jason Steigenga/Reel Pursuit Charters.
