SL student receives top honor in poster design

A poster designed by a Spring Lake High School student on the hazards of distracted driving will be going up on a billboard along I-96. The winning poster, designed by SLHS student Tyler Mills, was one of the entries in the 4th annual Distracted Driver Awareness Awards Night, hosted by the Kent County and Ottawa County Sheriff Departments, which took place April 21 at the Northview High School Auditorium. More than 300 students, parents, faculty and police officers attended the event that recognized and awarded each student's creative entry.
