Men of all ages sought for barbershop chapter

The Muskegon Chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society is seeking men of all ages who love to sing. Barbershop music is sung a cappella and has its own uniquely American style of close four-part harmony. Muskegon has had an active chapter and chorus since 1940 and is known in the community for performing, conducting youth music camps, and providing scholarships and other support to school music programs. Men from age 18 to senior citizens are welcome to experience a rehearsal meeting every Thursday at 7 p.m. at the Dr. M.L. Lutheran Church, 1860 E. Hile Road.

There are no auditions or formal training required. If you can carry a tune and love to sing, you can be part of the nonprofit, international organization.
