“Unfortunately, while the economy seems to be improving there continues to be great need in our local community especially when it comes to dental care,” Riopelle said. “In fact, we are expecting an even greater demand this year.”
According to Riopelle the strong sense of community in the area will play a key role in their ability to help the growing number of patients this year, “This event would not be possible without donations from our community.”
Volunteers are still needed to help with registration, parking, security, and to escort patients to treatment rooms. Anyone interested in volunteering or sponsoring the event should call Lisa at 850-3970.
The same event last year helped 123 patients and provided more than $40,000 worth of free dentistry.
Dentistry from the Heart is a national non-profit organization with a simple mission – making people smile. To date, this organization has helped more than 30,000 patients across 48 states and Canada and provided more than $6 million in free dental care.
